I am Alin Climente and I have been building software and automating business processes since 2017.
I started my journey in software development by automating menial tasks assigned to me at my first office job. With a background in engineering (mechanics/robotics), my first instinct is to find the most efficient way to get a job done. Why work hard when you can work smart? I automated myself out of that job by building small, targeted scripts and applications. Since then, I have spent years building software, integrations, and automated workflows using Python, TypeScript, and Go.

Softgata helps businesses eliminate repetitive manual work.
Our philosophy is straightforward: don’t build custom software just because you can. First determine whether the problem can be solved by integrating or automating what the business already has. Build custom software only where that is genuinely the better option.
We focus on concrete business process improvements:
- Workflow automation: Automating repetitive, scheduled, and rule-based tasks so people don’t have to do them.
- API & system integration: Connecting disconnected software so data moves automatically between tools without manual copying.
- Internal tools & dashboards: Building small, focused applications where off-the-shelf software falls short.
- Replacing expensive SaaS: Migrating off bloated software subscriptions to lightweight, self-hosted open-source alternatives.
- Custom software when needed: When automation or integration alone isn’t enough, we build the missing piece using Python, TypeScript, or Go.
How we work
You work directly with me.
I take ownership of the project from understanding the problem to delivering the finished solution. If the project needs additional expertise or development capacity, I can bring in the right people when it makes sense. You own the software and workflows we build together. There is no lock-in.
We can work on a fixed project price when the scope is clear, or hourly when the requirements need more flexibility.
What you get
Everything. The source code, the infrastructure, the accounts and the documentation stay in your name. There is no lock-in mechanism and no retainer required to fix what we built. If you decide to take it in-house, that is a legitimate outcome and we will help with the handover.
